KEPALA BATAS: Alliance University College of Medical Sciences (AUCMS) will soon have its own Internet television focusing on medicine to benefit its students, staff and acdemic staff, said its president Prof Datuk Dr Zainuddin Wazir.
He said the idea of creating an internet television came about after AUCMS agreed to forge a partnership with internet service provider Extreme Broadband Sdn Bhd (EBB).
“We wanted to introduce a modern teaching method so we decided on Internet television that focuses on medicine, with hopes that it will be widened in the future,” Zainuddin told reporters after a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony with EBB here yesterday. — Bernama
AUCMS was represented by Zainuddin, while EBB by its managing director, Weng Yew Wong. The five-year cooperation deal involves an overall cost of RM5 million.
Zainuddin added that the first phase of the service was expected to be up and running in AUCMS campuses by the second quarter of this year. — Bernama
